The word “nico-nico” is a Japanese term from the onomatopoeia, which means to laugh or smile. With the meaning of “nico-nico”, I strive to bring some joy, particularly humour in my designs.

I am an Art Director and Graphic Designer from London. My drive is to deliver authentic stories that makes a positive impact on the world. I offer expertise on brand design strategy across graphic design, illustration, art direction and motion graphics through various lenses like social, digital, marketing and print.
Born and raised in leafy green Surrey, by my Malaysian pop and Hong Kong Chinese mam, mostly through oodles of Chinese home cooking. I can confess my life is led by my love of design and food on par. I’m often hopping from the new foodie hotspot to the latest exhibition galleries in London. I find myself fascinated with Chinese culture and enjoy bringing this into my home cooking.
I also love sharing my old and new views of Chinese culture through my illustrations on @niconico_everyday. I take inspiration from nostalgia, emotive connections and everyday observations.
